Tobacco and pharmaceuticals have a big incentive to make us believe that nicotine is an impossible addiction. In fact nicotine only makes up 10% of a smoking habit. As long as we continue to believe this narrative we make good customers for their products in the form of cigarettes, vapes, nicotine patches and gum. ANY habit that’s starts in the mind can END in the mind. Hypnotherapy has been approved by the NHS as viable treatment for quitting smoking and scientific studies have shown it to be the most effective treatment to stop smoking (see link below).
