Calm Pregancy Hynosis & Hynobirthing

Hypnotherapy is a great tool to support women throughout pregnancy and birth. It works to reduce stress and increase peace, calm and relaxation before, during and after birth. Whilst promoting positive mental health and self-confidence and improving sleep it also reduces stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. These stress hormones affect the production of oxytocin - a very important hormone which encourages contractions in the body during birth and supports breast feeding.

Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I worked for 10 years as a nanny for new mums and baby’s. I saw first hand the powerful maternal instincts and intuition that guide women throughout motherhood. However I also observed for many women this life changing moment can be isolating, confusing and stress inducing (in part due to our modern way of living and lack of support for mums). I understand the concerns of new mums and will work compassionately to guide you towards your natural motherly intuition as well as work with those maternal instincts rather than against them!

 

In a session with me we will talk you through the brain and body’s connection to pregnancy, birth and beyond. We will also use the power of trance to reduce stress levels allowing for pregnancy hormones to flow in a more optimal way. I use imagery and visualisation techniques to help support a positive perception of pregnancy, birth and motherhood.  I will also teach you self-hypnosis which you and your partner can use before during and after birth.
